New recycling collections in Suffolk
From the end of next week, residents will begin to receive an information pack which includes details on what items can be put in each of their bins in preparation for the new service starting on 1 June.
Key 2026 Collection Changes (From 1 June 2026):
- Refuse (Black Bin): Collected every three weeks.
- Recycling (Blue Bin): Collected every three weeks (glass, plastics, metal, cartons).
- Paper & Card (New Bin/Container): Collected every three weeks.
- Food Waste (New Bin): Collected weekly.
- Garden Waste (Brown Bin): Remains a fortnightly, subscription-based service.
